With red hair and bouncy curls, 11-year—old Taylon Hope’s playful, light-hearted personality mixes with her traditional roots to create a rare and compelling sound. The musically-diverse artist is known for putting a unique flair in her music while still evoking the very best of her influences, which range from Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline to Martina McBride and Carrie Underwood.

Keeping her music reflective of her strong faith, the West Jefferson, North Carolina native began performing at age four, when she sang at a Christmas Cantata at her church. “It was obvious she loved the big crowd and thrived off the audience’s feedback.” Taylon’s mother, Tara, said. “Shortly after, we bought her a karaoke machine with a Little Mermaid CD. Day and night she sang A Whole New World in her microphone."

After perfecting her sound at home and in church, it wasn’t long before other venues were craving more performances from Taylon. By seven years old, she began traveling to numerous festivals and other churches to sing. She has subsequently performed at a variety of venues in Nashville, Tennessee including the Nashville Cowboy Church, The Nashville Palace, John A's, Puckett's and Kimbro’s Café for the Viva! NashVegas Radio Show. With her captivating stage presence, she has performed with Grammy Award-winning artists Daily & Vincent, Grammy-nominated T. Graham Brown and Christian country trio Red Roots.

It is no mystery how this young artist has already accomplished so much on the performance front. Taylon’s musical abilities extend far beyond her impressive vocals. After getting a guitar for her eighth birthday and starting lessons, her parents frequently caught her staying up late to practice strumming new chords. But one instrument wasn't enough for the tenacious musician, who soon began learning piano as well.

All of these talents have earned her tremendous success thus far. In 2013, she won the Youth Division Award at the Singing in The Foothills Competition and the People/Viewer’s Choice Award at the High Country’s Got Talent Competition. Two years later, she won the Rising Star Award at the King Country AgapeFest.

Most recently, Taylon was nominated for the New Artist Award and the Youth in Music Award (for a second time) at the ICM Awards, and the Junior Artist of the Year Award for the Josie Music Awards, celebrating independent musicians. Out of 650 artists who auditioned, Taylon was one of the 30 selected to perform. After singing two original songs, she won over the judges as she has with fans for years.

In 2014 the young songstress released her debut EP “What This World Needs." The album featured She Prayed Anyway, the first song she wrote (at just eight years old). Her much-anticipated sophomore album is set to be released in the fall of 2016, and will include six songs co-written by Taylon. The result is her fresh approach to classic country combined with the talents of Grammy-nominated producer Kent Wells (Dolly Parton).

When Taylon isn’t in the spotlight or putting pen to paper, she‘s a down-to-earth girl who loves to have fun with friends, go swimming and jump on her trampoline. But when it‘s time for her to hit the stage, there is no denying Taylon Hope is not an ordinary kid. As Dolly Parton recently told her, “I better get your autograph before you get too famous."
